Parish day of St Dominic Church was celebrated with much fervor, joy and devotion at Miyar near Karkal on 05th August, 2018.
Most Rev. Dr Gerald Isaac Lobo, Bishop of Udupi was the main celebrant. The others present were Rev. Fr Jerome Monteiro, Parish Priest of Miyar; Rev. Fr Sunil Renjar, Rev. Fr Ivan D’Souza, Rev.Fr Mark D’Souza and other guest priests. Most Rev. Dr Gerald Lobo preached a meaningful homily.
After the mass a short Stage Program was held. The Program began with the Prayer Dance from Parish Children. Most Rev. Dr Gerald Lobo, Rev. Fr Jerome Monteiro, Rev. Fr Pascal Menezes, Rev. Fr Mark D’Souza, Rev. Fr Sunil Renjar, Rev. Fr Ivan D’Souza, Mr Gerald D’Silva and others were present on the dais.
Mr Gerald D’Silva gave the keynote address. Rev. Fr Sunil Renjar and Rev. Fr Ivan D’Souza were felicitated by the Bishop for Completing their Phd. Rev. Fr Ivan D’Souza and Rev. Fr Sunil Renjar expressed their feelings on this occasion. Most Rev. Dr Gerald Lobo and Rev. Fr Pascal Menezes addressed the gathering on the occasion.
Rev. Fr Jerome Monteiro welcomed the gathering. Mr Praveen Mendonca compered the program. After the stage program cultural program continued. A fellowship meal was served to the parishioners and gests.
