Kerekatte witnessed a spectacle of devotion and joy as the Relic Feast of St. Antony was celebrated with grandeur on February 15, 2025. The sacred occasion was graced by Most Rev. Dr. Gerald Isaac Lobo, Bishop of Udupi, who presided over the solemn and festive Eucharistic celebration.
The concelebrated Mass brought together V. Rev. Fr. Paul Rego, Dean of Kundapur Deanery, V. Rev. Fr. Sunil Veigas, Rector of St. Antony Shrine, and several priests from Udupi and neighboring dioceses, uniting the faithful in deep reverence. In his thought-provoking homily, Bishop Lobo reflected on Jubilee 2025, emphasizing renewal in faith and commitment to Christ.
The highlight of the feast was the Novena of St. Antony, led by Bishop Lobo, culminating in the blessing of the sacred relic, invoking divine grace upon the gathering.
