The first meeting of the newly appointed parish Conveners of the Commission for Justice and Peace took place on 11th April, 2017. The meeting began with the prayer service led by the Diocesan Coordinator for 18 Commissions, Rev. Fr. Harold Pereira. Director of the Commission for Justice and Peace, Ms. Sharlet Furtado welcomed the Bishop of Udupi, Most Rev. Gerald Lobo, Rev. Fr. Harold Pereira and the Conveners from the parishes.
Rev. Fr. Harold Pereira asked the participants to introduce themselves. Bishop made a power point presentation on the diocesan pastoral plan and achievements of last two years. He also explained on how the Conveners can work in their respective parishes. Secretary of the Commission for Justice and Peace, Lavina Fernandes proposed the vote of thanks. 36 members were present for the meeting.
