Silver jubilee was celebrated of Piyad Saibin Chapel at Bolargudde near Udyavar on 24th November, 2018.
Most Rev. Dr Gerald I. Lobo Celebrated Holy Eucharist along with V. Rev. Stany B. Lobo, Parish Priest of Udyavar Church and Chancellor of Udupi Diocese; Rev. Fr Rolwin Aranha, Asst. Parish Priest of Udyavar Church; Rev. Fr Canute Barboza, Parish Priest of Kandlur Church and V. Rev. Xavier Pinto, Rector of St Antony Shrine Kerekatte. Rev. Fr Canute Barboza preached a meaningful sermon on the life of Mother Mary.
V. Rev. Stany B. Lobo thanked the Sponsors, Donors and those who helped the feast to make memorable. After the mass a short stage program was held. Most Rev. Dr Gerald Isaac Lobo, V. Rev. Stany B. Lobo, Rev. Fr Xavier Pinto, Rev. Fr Canute Barboza, Mr Melwyn Noronha, Vice President of Parish Pastoral Council of Udyavar Church; Mr Michael D’Souza, Secretary of Parish Pastoral Council of Udyavar Church where present on the dais.
Mr Michael D’Souza presented a brief history of Piyad Saibin Chapel. Ward Gurkars, Former Vice President, Secretaries, Sponsors and Parish Priest were felicitated by the dignitaries. Most Rev. Gerald Lobo addressed the gathering on this occasion.
V. Rev. Stany B. Lobo welcomed the gathering and Mr Melwyn Noronha proposed vote of thanks. Mr John Fernandes compeered the program. A fellowship meal was served those who were present for the program.
