The first death anniversary of Rev. Fr Baptist Menezes, former Vicar General of the Udupi Diocese, was observed at Our Lady of Health Church Shirva on August 23, 2024.
Most Rev. Dr. Gerald Isaac Lobo, Bishop of the Udupi Diocese, celebrated the Holy Eucharist, along with V. Rev. Fr. (Dr.) Roshan D’Souza, Chancellor of the Udupi Diocese; V. Rev. Leslie D’Souza, Dean of the Shirva Deanery; V. Rev. Fr. Roshan Menezes OFMCap, Episcopal Vicar for Religious; and other guest priests. Rev. Fr. (Dr.) Roshan D’Souza delivered the homily.
Following the Mass, Most Rev. Dr. Gerald Isaac Lobo led a prayer service at the cemetery. Family members, relatives, friends, parishioners, and priests from the Udupi and Mangalore dioceses were present on this occasion.
