Most Rev. Dr Gerald Isaac Lobo, the Bishop of the Diocese of Udupi, administered the Sacrament of Confirmation to 12 children of Christ the King Church, Karkala, on August 11, 2024.
In his homily, the Bishop spoke about the importance of prayer and how we can pray. He also highlighted the role of the Sacrament of Confirmation in one's spiritual growth. He explained that the Sacrament of Confirmation sanctifies, empowers, and prepares the faithful to face the spiritual challenges of life. This sacrament makes us temples of the Holy Spirit. The Bishop discussed the seven gifts and twelve fruits of the Holy Spirit, which are gratuitous gifts of God that help us live a life of holiness.
Rev. Fr Clement Mascarenhas, Parish Priest of Christ the King Church, was present for the Solemn Eucharistic Celebration.
