Of all lives on this planet earth, that of human life as we know is the greatest and summit of all others. We are able to not only understand and reason out, think and deliberate upon but also laugh, weep, feel and express. While happiness is what makes our life comfortable and peaceful, fear and despair will make it miserable and unstable.  The Corona Virus since over a year has dominated our lives so much that happiness has given way to despair and peace and serenity to fear. And this unfortunate life situation of fear and despair still continues because Covid-19 is very much active and alive in spite of the availability of vaccine.

But, let us not lose hope in our life because Christ, by entering into our human history in the fullness of time (Gal. 4:4) has made it noble and sanctified it by His precious blood shed on the Cross and redeemed it with the promise of a new life. Hence, there is no more room for fear and despair, hopelessness and uneasiness. The triduum of the Holy Week from 1 to 3 April, i.e. Maundy Thursday to Holy Saturday will lead us to the joy of Easter, the solemnity of the Resurrection of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ who has banished the fear of death, redeemed us from our sinfulness and has promised us new life in Him. This is the beauty and the mystery of Easter which we need to contemplate and celebrate during this Easter season and in all our life situations of fear and despair.

On 11th of this month we will be celebrating the Divine Mercy Sunday another most beautiful and hope-filled day given to us by the most Merciful God our Father. God’s Mercy has been and is limitless and boundless and let us approach Him with love, hope and joy saying: Jesus I trust in you.

May Easter joy dispel all fear and despair from our life and fill it with hope and happiness and His Mercy make us all worthy of His love and forgiveness and bless all of us who trust Him.

I wish you a very happy and blessed Easter.
