Bishop Gerald Lobo who shies away from celebrations which have himself as the center had to bow to the wishes of the staff of the Bishop’s House to celebrate his birthday in a modest way on 12 November.  The bishop was offered flowers by the Vicar General Msgr. Baptist Menezes on behalf of all. 

The bishop cut the cake and shared it with all.  Fr Fred Mascarenhas, the parish priest of Udupi, Fr Denis D’Sa, PRO, Mr Gerry Dias, vice president of Mount Rosary Parish, Mr Boniface, vice president of Udupi, Fr Vincent Monteiro, director, pastoral center, Mangalore and several priest, sisters and people were present on the occasion to wish the bishop.
